What You’ll Do

  • Provide inpatient OB Hospitalist coverage for obstetrical admissions and needs

  • Serve as backup call support for Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs)

  • Manage and support high-risk obstetrical deliveries

  • Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, including 24/7 anesthesiology, neonatology, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists

  • Respond to callback needs while maintaining required proximity (15 minutes) to the hospital while on call

  • Partner with CNMs who take first call and are surgical first assist trained

  • Support an average volume of approximately 600 annual deliveries

  • Document care in the Meditech EMR


What You Need

Required


  • Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology

  • Active Tennessee medical license

  • Active DEA registration

  • Minimum 2 years of OB Hospitalist experience

  • High-risk delivery experience required

  • Ability to maintain within 15 minutes of the hospital while on call
