Description Specialty: OBGYN Hospital Location: Petersburg, VA Reason for coverage: one provider will be out for a few weeks for personal time Setting: OBGYN Hospital/Call + potential for clinic coverage. Must be willing/able to cover both to be considered for this need. If taking clinic, night call would not be required after clinic days. Dates:
Call ratio: 1 to 4 Total number of beds: 9 in L&D and 20 postpartum Number of Physicians in practice: 4 Support Staff: OBHG hospitalist, surgical assistants, 3 to 4 nurses each shift Average number of nursery admissions per day: 2 to 3 per day Average call back per 24hr shift: less than 1, you will receive calls from answering service EMR: EPIC Are any specific procedures required: C-section, vaginal deliveries, suction D&C, ectopic pregnancies, ovarian torsion, abnormal bleeding. MFM will handle most high-risk patients.
