Description Contract Physician (MD/DO) – Medical Weight Loss & Wellness Clinic We are seeking a South Carolina-licensed Physician (MD/DO) to serve as an Independent Contractor, providing medical oversight, patient evaluations, and treatment management for adult wellness and weight-management patients. The ideal candidate values patient-centered care, preventive medicine, and responsible prescribing practices, and works collaboratively in an established wellness clinic. This role offers minimal administrative burden and the opportunity to participate in a rapidly growing area of outpatient medicine. Office Hours • Tuesday-9 am - 4 pm,Thursday-9 am - 4 pm, • Wednesday-9 am - 3 pm, Friday-9 am – 3 pm, Saturday-8 am-12 pm • No hospital call requirements Skills • Active and unrestricted MD or DO license in South Carolina • Active DEA registration preferred • Experience in weight management, family medicine, internal medicine, wellness, preventative medicine, or hormone optimization preferred • Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills • Comfort working in a collaborative, wellness-focused environment Notes We are a 45-year-established medical weight management clinic in Myrtle Beach, SC, offering physician-supervised programs focused on metabolic health, weight management, lifestyle medicine, hormone optimization, and wellness support services. Our clinic utilizes evidence-informed treatment protocols that may include nutritional counseling, laboratory review, GLP-1–based therapies when clinically appropriate, peptide therapies at the provider’s discretion and in accordance with applicable regulations, and hormone optimization services. • Conduct initial and follow-up patient evaluations • Review medical histories, laboratory testing, and clinical assessments • Determine the medical appropriateness of treatment plans • Prescribe medications and therapies within the scope of practice and clinical judgment • Monitor patient progress and response to treatment • Provide education regarding lifestyle modification and wellness goals • Maintain compliant and accurate medical documentation • Participate in clinical oversight and quality assurance activities as needed • Ensure adherence to applicable South Carolina medical regulations and standards of care * Some information such as the email and phone number are hidden unless you are registered and logged-in
