What You’ll Do
- Provide surgical assistance on cases performed in the operating room
- Support General Surgery as the highest priority, with coverage across additional specialties as needed
- Assist on surgical cases including Orthopedics, Ob/Gyn, Urology, and ENT (based on assignment needs)
- Work alongside the OR team (surgeon, scrub tech, circulating RN, CRNA) to help ensure smooth case flow
- Perform support functions for inpatient surgical care only (no outpatient clinic)
- Maintain readiness for case schedules that may occasionally run later in the day
- Coordinate care within the OR environment according to facility protocols

About the Assignment
You’ll assist on surgical cases only for a hospital-based OR environment at a leading facility in Decatur, GA. The team typically performs approximately 90–110 scheduled non-urgent cases per week, and cases may occasionally extend past 5:00 PM (to around 6–7 PM). No call is expected at this time, and outpatient clinic duties are not part of this assignment.
