## Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced **Travel Outpatient Pharmacy Technician** to support a managed care pharmacy team. This role is ideal for Pharmacy Technicians with strong experience in **prior authorizations, pharmacy benefits, claims processing, and managed care operations**. The successful candidate will work closely with pharmacists, providers, members, and insurance teams to ensure timely medication access while maintaining regulatory compliance and exceptional customer service. ## Key Responsibilities - Process pharmacy prior authorizations and medication requests. - Review pharmacy benefits, eligibility, and claims. - Communicate with providers, pharmacies, members, and healthcare teams regarding medication approvals and benefit inquiries. - Perform data entry, documentation, and coding using pharmacy and healthcare systems. - Review pharmacy claims and resolve claim-related issues. - Assist with medication utilization management and pharmacy benefit administration. - Audit pharmacy records and documentation for quality and regulatory compliance. - Generate reports and analyze pharmacy operational data using Microsoft Excel. - Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial health plan regulations. - Support pharmacy operations while providing outstanding customer service. ## Requirements & Qualifications ### Required - **Active Oregon Pharmacy Technician License** - Minimum **2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience in a Managed Care environment** - Experience with: - Pharmacy Prior Authorizations - Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) - Claims Processing - Medication Utilization Management - Pharmacy Audits - **Advanced Microsoft Excel skills** (Required) - Strong knowledge of: - ICD-10 - CPT - HCPCS - Medical terminology - Pharmacy billing and reimbursement - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. ### Preferred - Experience supporting Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, and ASO health plans. - Familiarity with pharmacy information systems and health plan operations. - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent managed care pharmacy experience. ## Assignment Details - **26-Week Travel Contract** - Monday–Friday Schedule - Day Shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) - On-call approximately **2–3 weekends per year** - Managed Care Pharmacy setting - High-volume pharmacy operations with prior authorization and claims management responsibilities ## Why Apply? - Competitive weekly pay - Long-term 26-week assignment - Stable weekday schedule - Work in a collaborative managed care pharmacy environment - Opportunity to expand expertise in pharmacy operations, prior authorizations, and health plan services - Reduced orientation period for a faster onboarding experience --- ### ??
