Seeking a Fellowship-Trained Interventional Radiologist (IR) or Interventional Neuroradiologist/Neurologist (INR) to provide 24-hour thrombectomy call coverage in a hospital-based stroke program. This opportunity focuses on emergent stroke intervention and neurovascular procedures.

14 shifts per month available
24-hour call coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
Continuous call with callback responsibilities

Responsibilities
Provide 24-hour thrombectomy call coverage
Perform emergent mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke
Respond to stroke alerts and urgent callback cases
Manage inpatient neurovascular emergencies
Perform image-guided vascular interventions
Collaborate with Neurology and Interventional Radiology teams to provide timely stroke care
Practice Information
Approximately 1,000 stroke patients annually
Approximately 165 thrombectomy procedures annually
Supported by a dedicated Interventional Radiology team

Requirements
Fellowship Trained in Interventional Radiology (IR) or Interventional Neuroradiology/Neurology (INR)
Must independently perform mechanical thrombectomy
Active Iowa license or Active IMLC with Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
Must specify the number of shifts available per month
Clean malpractice and background history
Current Self-Query NPDB report (within 30 days)
Additional Information
