What You’ll Do
- Manage ventilators and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips
- Administer IV sedation, blood products, and neuromuscular blockade
- Interpret dysrhythmias and perform 12-lead EKGs
- Conduct stroke and neuro care, hypothermia protocols, and infection prevention
- Monitor patients using advanced GE cardiac monitors and ventilators
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including respiratory, pharmacy, and radiology
- Support adult patient population with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1
What You Need
- Active RN license in Ohio or eligible state
- 2+ years ICU/MICU experience
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required
- Strong ventilator management and patient assessment skills
About the Assignment
This position is at a leading facility in Columbus, Ohio. The MICU unit provides specialized care to adult patients, with a focus on neuro and stroke monitoring, cardiac management, and critical care procedures. Floating within the OSU organization may be required based on staffing needs. The unit is well-equipped with advanced technology and support services to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
