Pathologists Assistant – Full Time

PathGroup and Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN are seeking two experienced Pathologists Assistants to join their dynamic pathology team. This full-time, permanent position offers a great opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a strong focus on patient care and high-quality diagnostics. A minimum of 3 years of experience is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation and examination of surgical pathology specimens and autopsies

• Perform gross examinations of surgical specimens and prepare tissue for processing

• Document detailed findings and assist pathologists in case review

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory guidelines

• Maintain accurate and organized records of procedures and specimens

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Pathologists' Assistance

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a pathology lab required

• ASCP certification or eligibility preferred

• Strong knowledge of human anatomy, pathology procedures, and lab safety protocols

• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
