What You'll Do

As a Physical Therapist, you'll evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans that help patients achieve their highest level of function.

You'll:

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Deliver high-quality physical therapy services across assigned patient populations.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment goals, home exercise programs, and injury prevention.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and rehabilitation staff to provide coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and rehabilitation support staff, as appropriate.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Help evaluate rehabilitation equipment and recommend new technology or supplies.
  • Maintain productivity standards while delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
  • Stay current with best practices through continuing education and professional development.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Current (or eligible for) Maine Physical Therapist license.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and patient assessment skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard computer applications.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between clinic locations, if needed.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous outpatient, inpatient, or rehabilitation experience preferred.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.
