OB/GYN Physician – Clinic & Call Coverage

A healthcare organization in Central South Carolina is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Physician for an ongoing locum tenens assignment. This opportunity combines outpatient clinic responsibilities with week-long call coverage, offering physicians the chance to help support and grow an expanding women's health program in a collaborative rural setting.

Assignment Details

• Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient


• Start Date: As soon as credentialed


• Contract: Ongoing


• Clinic Schedule: 2–3 days per week
  
  
  
  • Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
  
  
  • Friday: 8:30 AM–12:00 PM
  
  
  
  


• Call: Week-long call assignments with 12- or 24-hour call shifts based on provider preference


• EMR: Epic

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care


• Evaluate and manage routine and high-risk obstetrical patients


• Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections


• Manage inpatient Labor & Delivery patients during call coverage


• Collaborate with hospital staff and multidisciplinary care teams


• Document patient care using Epic


• Circumcisions are not required

Requirements

• MD or DO


• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology


• Active South Carolina medical license


• South Carolina CSR


• Active DEA registration in South Carolina


• Comfortable practicing independently in a rural hospital setting


• Experience performing vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections


• Eligible for hospital credentialing
