Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and emergent medical conditions


• Stabilize critically ill and injured patients


• Perform emergency procedures within credentialed scope of practice


• Collaborate with onsite specialists and multidisciplinary care teams


• Document patient encounters using Cerner


• Deliver high-quality emergency care in a community hospital setting

Requirements

• MD or DO


• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine preferred


• Completion of an accredited residency in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine


• Active, unrestricted Texas medical license


• Active Texas DEA registration with applicable controlled substance schedules


• Current ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (AHA or American Red Cross)


• Current Emergency Medicine clinical experience


• Two years of case logs and CME documentation required for credentialing


• Eligible for hospital credentialing
