Registered Nurse – PCU Specialty – Columbus, OH

  • Hours/Week: 36 hours

  • Licenses/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (required); ONS Chemo (preferred)

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in PCU or Med Surg units

What You’ll Do:


  • Provide direct nursing care in a busy surgical Oncology PCU

  • Monitor adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses such as breast, thyroid, melanoma, hepatobiliary cancers, colorectal cancers, and reconstructive surgeries

  • Administer chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and other medications

  • Manage oncologic emergencies and cytokine release syndromes

  • Follow infection prevention protocols and fall prevention measures

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health record system

  • Adapt to floating within your scope of practice as needed



What You Need:


  • Valid Ohio RN license or eligibility to work in Ohio

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU or Med Surg experience

  • Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications (required)

  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to variable scheduling

This assignment is located at a leading facility in Columbus, Ohio, renowned for its commitment to high-quality patient care and oncology services. You will support a busy surgical oncology unit, handling a variety of complex cases including chemotherapy administration and emergent care. The shift involves working nights with flexible scheduling to meet unit needs.
