What You’ll Do
- Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and ADL physical functioning disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with clinical standards
- Conduct therapeutic activities, exercises, and modalities to aid patient recovery
- Administer procedures like ADL retraining and use of assistive devices
- Monitor patient progress, modify treatments, and document outcomes
- Provide education and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
- Communicate seamlessly with the healthcare team regarding patient status
- Complete discharge summaries and maintain comprehensive, regulatory-compliant documentation
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and continuous education initiatives
- Support and supervise OT assistants, rehabilitation aides, or students as needed
- Adhere to NBCOT and state practice acts, uphold ethical standards throughout practice
