Pay & Benefits

What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care to diverse detainee populations, including adults and children, in a detention facility setting
- Conduct physical assessments, manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Oversee and collaborate with medical staff, including APPs and nurses
- Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate care with specialists when needed
- Document all clinical encounters following facility policies and HIPAA regulations
- Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in staff meetings
- Maintain compliance with licensing, privileging, and security requirements
What You Need
Required:
- Active medical license in Louisiana and DEA registration
- BLS/CPR certification
- 3+ years of medical practice experience, ideally in primary care or correctional/detention settings
- Strong communication skills, cultural competence, and ability to work independently
Preferred:
- Experience in correctional or residential healthcare settings
- Proficiency in Spanish (preferred but not required)
