Registered Nurse (ICU/PCU Hybrid) – Critical Care Specialist

Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Critical Care/Intensive Care Unit
- Proficiency with balloon pump, CRRT, Impella, open hearts, PICC line insertion, and laboratory draws
- Ability to independently manage codes, conduct consults, and handle vascular access procedures
- Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills
- Effective communication and teamwork capabilities
- Licensure as a Kansas RN or Compact State RN License
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
- Comfortable with floating across ICU, PCU, Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and Emergency Department units
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with open heart procedures and advanced critical care interventions
- Prior exposure to hybrid ICU/PCU environments
- Additional certifications such as CCRN or related specialty credentials
- Experience working in Nicotine-Free facilities
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Valid RN license for Kansas or a valid Compact license
- At least 2 years of recent ICU critical care experience
- Proven ability to handle complex patient cases independently
Other Requirements:
- Scheduled to start on 04/26/2026, with shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, three nights per week
- Willingness to float to all inpatient units based on staffing needs
- Every other weekend work required
- Holiday coverage as needed; minimal time-off requests during the World Cup (June 11 – July 19)
- Orientation includes two days on-site at TUKHS main campus, followed by additional in-house and virtual training
- Conduct own consults and manage emergency codes autonomously
- Travel and licensing reimbursement where applicable
