What You’ll Do
- Provide advanced respiratory care for patients across multiple departments including ED, ICU, Stepdown, Med/Tele, and L&D (high risk deliveries)
- Manage airway and ventilator functions, including intubation and ABG analysis
- Support NICU/PICU patients, including neonates and high-risk deliveries
- Administer inhaled medications, including nitric oxide
- Respond to Code Blue and rapid response situations
- Work with a variety of ventilator and respiratory equipment, such as Servo U, Trilogy, Vapotherm, and NICU oscillators
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support department leadership
- Float between four different campuses in Shreveport while adhering to scheduled shifts and protocols
What You Need
- Louisiana State Respiratory Therapist License
- Valid Driver's License (to float between campuses)
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience, with neonate delivery and NICU/PICU support preferred
- Comfortable with high-risk deliveries, neonatal intubation, and advanced airway management
- Certifications: BLS, NRP required; ACLS/PALS preferred
- Key Skills: airway management, ventilator operation, ABG collection, rapid response, neonate care
- Experience with Meditech Expanse charting system
