What You’ll Do
- Provide specialized perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in the operating room
- Assess patient needs and support their safety before, during, and after procedures
- Assist surgeons and healthcare team members during surgeries
- Maintain sterile techniques and ensure all equipment is properly disinfected and set up
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in line with hospital protocols
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure smooth surgical workflow
What You Need
- Required:
- Current RN license in Louisiana
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Prior OR experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good judgment and ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment
- Preferred:
- Leadership skills or experience supervising others
- Additional certifications in perioperative nursing (if applicable)
