Description Job Quick Facts: • Specialty: Hematology/Oncology • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Facility Location: Chambersburg, PA (112 N 7th St, Chambersburg, PA 17201) — Provider also covers Waynesboro Hospital • Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient • Reason For Coverage: Supplemental / Full-Time Ongoing Coverage • Coverage Period: November 2, 2026 – March 31, 2027 (13 weeks) • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Shifts needed to be filled: Full-Time (minimum 3 days/week accepted) • Shift Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Clinic) •Dates Needing Coverage: - November 2026: 2–6, 9–13, 16–20, 23–25, 27, 30 - December 2026: 1–4, 7–11, 14–18, 21–23, 24 , 28–30, 31 (8:00 AM–3:00 PM) - January 2027: 4–8, 11–15, 18–22, 25–29 - February 2027: 1–5, 8–12, 15–19, 22–26 - March 2027: 1–5, 8–12, 15–19, 22–26, 29–31 • Call Schedule: 1 week/month; Weekend coverage required; Night call required • Call Type: Both (inpatient + phone) • Call Ratio: 0–2 calls/day (typical ED or hospital consults) • Call Response Time: 30 mins • Patient Demographics: Adults • Patient Volume: Average 15 PPD; ~2 new patients/day • Phone Consults: Yes — secure chats from hospital during clinic hours • Rounding included: Yes — 1–2 hours; inpatient/ER consultation and patient care guidance • % of Practice: 2/3 Oncology, 1/3 Hematology • Support Staff: 1 NP, 1 Virtual Hematologist; Provider also serves as supervising provider 1 morning and 1 afternoon per week • Specialty Backup: Virtual Hematologist available • Case Mix: - Typical lung - breast - prostate - colorectal cancers; some blood cancers (often sent out); community oncology center • Procedures: - Bone Marrow Biopsies: No - Lumbar Punctures: No * Some information such as the email and phone number are hidden unless you are registered and logged-in
