What You’ll Do
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients with hematology and oncology conditions, including bone marrow transplant patients
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, utilizing Epic-integrated equipment
- Assist with bedside procedures such as CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and post-discharge care
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and hospital policies
What You Need
- Active RN license in Louisiana or ability to obtain licensure
- Minimum required: BLS, ACLS certifications; ONS preferred
- Previous experience in oncology or hematology units preferred
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility and readiness to join an emergency response team if needed
About the Assignment
Join a dynamic environment serving hematology, medical oncology, and bone marrow transplant patients in a state-of-the-art unit designed for positive patient outcomes. This assignment offers the chance to work in a collaborative setting with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, utilizing advanced equipment like Epic-integrated IV pumps and barcode medication administration.
