What You’ll Do
- Circulate in the operating room across various surgical specialties
- Assess patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure safety protocols
- Assist with surgical procedures, primarily in vascular and orthopedic surgeries
- Support patient education and coordinate care throughout the surgical process
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced environment
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for documentation
What You Need
- NY Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration
- EPIC EMR experience
- Strong vascular and orthopedic surgery skills
- At least 1 year of OR nursing experience
- Ability to work days, adjust to OR schedule demands
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred
- Scrub experience
- Experience with pediatrics to adult patient populations
About the Assignment
This assignment involves providing surgical nursing care at a prominent healthcare facility in Glens Falls, NY. The OR team currently conducts approximately 50 procedures per day, excluding cardiac and ophthalmology. The facility provides a variety of surgical specialties including labor & delivery for C-sections. The role includes participating in non-billable orientation, adhering to all safety and compliance protocols, and supporting the surgical team in delivering high-quality patient care.
