What You’ll Do
- Conduct patient assessments related to respiratory therapy needs and equipment use
- Set up and maintain PAP and oxygen equipment in patient homes
- Perform equipment cleaning, testing, and basic troubleshooting
- Provide patient education to support therapy understanding and compliance
- Communicate relevant findings to physicians as needed
- Complete required online training and maintain accurate documentation
- Provide on-call support for NIV patients as assigned
What You Need
Required
- Active RRT, CRT, or RN license in New Mexico
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to meet respiratory protection/N95 mask fit testing requirements (including annual recertification)
Preferred
- Completion of an accredited respiratory care program
- Home respiratory care experience
- Degree in respiratory therapy or related science
- One year of related work experience
- CRT or RT credentials (if applicable)
About the Assignment
This PRN role supports home medical equipment services across Taos County and surrounding areas. You’ll work independently during weekday business hours with flexible scheduling (typically 1–3 days per week) and may provide on-call support for select NIV patients.
