Neurosurgery Physician – 24-Hour Trauma Coverage

Floyd Lee Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Neurosurgeon for an urgent assignment in Pennsylvania. This opportunity features 24-hour neurosurgical trauma coverage with the potential for additional ongoing coverage.

Assignment Details

• 24-hour shifts, 8:00 AM-8:00 AM


• Urgent coverage need with potential for future dates


• Inpatient rounding on approximately 10-12 patients daily


• Average of 3-4 new consults per day


• STAT/trauma consult response within 30 minutes


• Routine consult response within 24 hours


• Epic EMR


• Estimated credentialing timeframe of approximately 10 days

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide neurosurgical trauma coverage


• Manage inpatient rounding and new consultations


• Respond to STAT and trauma consults


• Perform general neurosurgical cases, including tumor surgery and VP shunt placement


• Perform cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spinal surgery with and without instrumentation


• ICP monitor placement and external traction


• Peripheral nerve surgery


• Stereotactic radiosurgery

Requirements

• Board Certified through the American Board of Neurological Surgery


• Neurological Surgery fellowship training required


• Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC with appropriate documentation in hand


• Ability to meet the required 30-minute trauma response time
