A hospital in southeastern Missouri is seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for ongoing locum tenens coverage while recruiting a permanent surgeon. This assignment offers multiple days of coverage per month and includes rounding, call, and surgical coverage as needed. (Job ID: 51700)

• Setting: Hospital


• Schedule: Multiple days of block coverage per month


• Preference for one physician who can provide consistent coverage


• Provide inpatient rounding and postoperative care


• Take call and provide emergent operative coverage


• Perform cardiothoracic surgeries as needed


• Scope may include CABG, valve procedures, aneurysm repair, and thoracic procedures


• Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days

Requirements

• Board Certification required


• Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship


• ACLS


• ATLS


• BLS


• Broad cardiothoracic surgical experience preferred
