Overview

An outpatient oncology program in southern Louisiana is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for a locum or locum-to-permanent opportunity. This role is ideal for an NP with significant Hematology/Oncology experience who is comfortable managing complex patients and coordinating comprehensive cancer care. (Job ID: 51608)

Details

• Assignment: September-December 2026 with locum-to-perm opportunity


• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm


• Setting: Outpatient Hematology/Oncology clinic with infusion services


• No inpatient rounding or hospital consult call


• Limited Saturday morning rotation approximately once every 3 months


• Scope includes treatment visits, follow-ups, some new patient appointments, and coordination of care


• Provider may need to remain through completion of the final chemotherapy/biotherapy treatment of the day


• Works alongside Medical Oncologists and experienced NPs

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner


• Board certification required


• 3-5 years of Hematology/Oncology experience required


• BLS required


• Active LA license required
