What You'll Do
- Provide specialized care to high-acuity SICU patients, including post-op CABG, valve repair, and complex transplant recoveries
- Collaborate with medical teams to monitor and manage patients requiring advanced interventions like PA catheters, balloon pumps, and continuous renal replacement therapy
- Support unit functions by float to other ICUs and SDUs when needed
- Follow all safety procedures and ensure best practices in critical patient care
- Document patient progress accurately in the Epic system
- Respond to emergency events as part of the "Emergency Team" when required
What You Need
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or appropriate state
- Minimum of 2 years ICU experience, preferably in a high-acuity setting
- Epic EMR system experience preferred
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH certification
- Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and team collaboration skills
