What You’ll Do
- Provide routine and complex nursing care for post-surgical and neuro patient populations on MedSurg units
- Administer medications and treatments using approved protocols, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately
- Assess and address patients' psychological, emotional, and social needs in accordance with professional standards
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
- Educate patients and their families regarding care plans and recovery process
What You Need
Required:
- RN License in Louisiana or a compact state
- BLS certification via AHA
- 1+ year of nursing experience in MedSurg or similar setting
Preferred:
- EPIC electronic health record experience
- Experience caring for post-surgical and neuro patients
