What You’ll Do:
- Provide routine and complex nursing care within the surgical setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care activities accurately
- Assist in various surgical procedures across multiple specialties such as ortho, podiatry, urology, general surgery, and more
- Educate patients and families about post-operative care and procedures
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care, including floating between campuses as needed
- Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality of care in accordance with hospital policies and nursing standards
What You Need:
Required:
- RN license in Louisiana or valid compact license
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience in surgical nursing or related specialty
Preferred:
- Experience in operating room or surgical units
- Familiarity with orthopedic, podiatry, urology, or general surgical procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
