What You’ll Do
- Evaluate patients with cognitive and physical functioning disorders, including ADL challenges
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessments and clinical standards
- Administer rehabilitative treatments such as ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, and modalities
- Use supportive devices and assistive technology to promote patient independence
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Document all services accurately and timely in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
- Ensure compliance with all state and regulatory guidelines
What You Need
Required:
- Valid Texas Occupational Therapy License
- NBCOT Certification
- Minimum 2 years of occupational therapy experience, with preference for long-term care or similar settings
- Experience with cognitive and ADL assessments and interventions
Preferred:
- Experience supervising assistants or aides
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and documentation requirements
- Strong communication skills and teamwork attitude
