What You’ll Do
- Provide specialized patient care for high-acuity ICU patients, including post-op CABG, valve surgeries, aortic dissection, and transplant recoveries
- Monitor and manage patients on PA catheters, balloon pumps, and continuous renal replacement therapy
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Support unit operations during emergency events and float to other ICU units as needed
- Document patient status, interventions, and progress accurately in Epic electronic health records
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain high standards of care during night shifts
What You Need
Required:
- Valid Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) license
- ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications
- Minimum 2 years of ICU or surgical recovery experience
- Epic electronic health record experience
- Skills in caring for post-op CABG, valve surgeries, transplant patients, PA catheters, balloon pumps, and CKRT
Preferred:
- Experience with PA catheters and balloon pumps
- Previous familiarity with high-acuity ICU environments including SICU, CVICU, or transplant units
