What You’ll Do
- Provide care for high-acuity ICU patients including post-op CABG, valve surgeries, aortic dissection, and transplant recovery.
- Monitor and tend to complex patients with PA catheters, balloon pumps, and continuous renal replacement therapy.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced ICU setting.
- Adapt to float requirements across ICUs and SDUs as needed.
- Follow protocols for emergencies and participate in emergency team assignments if applicable.
- Maintain thorough documentation of patient care, medication administration, and clinical observations.
- Use Epic electronic health records to document and access patient information efficiently.
What You Need
Required:
- RN license in Louisiana or eligibility to practice
- ACLS, BLS, NIH Certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU or surgical recovery experience
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Preferred:
- Experience with PA catheters and balloon pumps
- Transplant ICU experience (liver, heart, lungs, kidney, pancreas)
- Experience with renal replacement therapy
