Pay & Benefits
- Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00/hour (please note the rate; pay details to be discussed upon application)

What You’ll Do
- Rounding on postoperative inpatients
- Assisting in cardiovascular/cardiothoracic surgeries
- Seeing patients in outpatient clinic settings
- Performing endoscopic and radial artery harvesting procedures
- Interpreting EKGs, X-rays, labs, ECMO, IABP, and Impella devices
- Providing patient care during call shifts (weeknights and weekends)
- Supporting multidisciplinary team in complex, high-acuity cases
What You Need
Required:
- California medical license (active) and DEA registration
- Board Certified in Physician Assistant (BC)
- Minimum experience in cardiovascular or cardiothoracic surgery setting
- Skills in endoscopic procedures, interpreting diagnostic tests, and managing advanced cardiac devices
Preferred:
- Prior experience with complex surgical cases
- Strong teamwork and communication skills

This assignment involves providing critical clinical coverage during holidays and ongoing gap coverage through 2027 for a leading facility in Torrance, CA. The role includes surgical assisting, inpatient rounding, and outpatient consultations, supporting a busy cardiovascular/cardiothoracic unit with a focus on complex patient populations.
