Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) Surgical Services – Columbus, OH

- Experience: Previous sterile processing experience in trauma or busy hospital settings preferred

What You’ll Do:
- Decontaminate surgical instruments, scopes, and specialized equipment
- Assemble all instruments across service lines including trauma, loaners, and peel packaging
- Operate sterilization processes such as Sterrad and steam sterilizers
- Perform high-level disinfection (HLD) and scope cleaning
- Manage sterile storage areas
- Act as OR liaison for sterile processing issues
- Utilize Censitrac tracking system and Medivator equipment
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards and hospital protocols
What You Need:
- Valid CBSPD or CRCST certification (through HSPA or IAHCSMM)
- Experience with Medivator sterilizers
- Knowledge of Sterrad and steam sterilization processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced trauma environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
About the Assignment:
This position is based at a Level One trauma center in Columbus, Ohio, recognized for its busy surgical services and high standards for sterile processing. You will be a key part of the team ensuring safe, sterile instruments for urgent and scheduled surgeries in a dynamic hospital setting.
