What You’ll Do
- Provide compassionate nursing care to post-surgical patients on a 32-bed unit specializing in abdominal, colorectal, urological, orthopedic, and plastic surgeries
- Monitor patient recovery, manage surgical drains, and document clinical progress using Epic EMR system
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Assist in wound care and manage complex post-operative needs
- Follow hospital protocols for safety, infection control, and patient safety
- Support float requirements across other medical-surgical floors as needed
- Adhere to hospital policies including jewelry and tattoo guidelines, vaccination requirements, and respectful professional appearance
What You Need
Required:
- Kansas or multi-state RN license
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical experience
- ADN or BSN degree
- Immunity to Hep B, MMR, Varicella (via titer or vaccination)
- TDaP and Influenza vaccines or exemptions
Preferred:
- Experience with Epic EMR
- Progressive care or step-down experience
