- Experience: Minimum 2 years inpatient RN experience; oncology experience preferred but not required

What You’ll Do
- Provide direct patient care to medical oncology patients in a mixed acuity PCU/MS Tele unit
- Administer treatments including chemotherapy (training available if interested)
- Monitor patient vital signs and responses using GE telemetry system and other equipment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain infection prevention protocols and patient safety measures
- Document patient care accurately and comprehensively in electronic health records
- Support patients and families through education and compassionate care
What You Need
Required:
- Valid Ohio RN license
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years inpatient nursing experience
- Ability to float within units of equal or lower acuity
Preferred:
- Oncology experience (not mandatory)
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Chemotherapy certification (training available if interested)
About the Assignment
Join a high-acuity oncology unit caring for a variety of diagnoses, including solid tumors and blood cancers. This unit emphasizes infection prevention, fall prevention, and comprehensive patient care. Pediatric coverage is extremely rare and not required for agency nurses. The facility offers opportunities for professional development including a two-day chemo training course. Staffing ratios typically range from 1:4 to 1:5, with variable weekend shifts.
