We are seeking an Internal Medicine Physician in Florida for a 60-day assignment. This role involves providing comprehensive geriatric and preventative primary care, with a strong focus on maintaining patient health and preventing hospital admissions. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, requiring a tech-savvy and organized physician dedicated to accurate charting and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide primary care for a panel of geriatric patients, striving to prevent hospital admissions.
• Deliver comprehensive preventative care, medication management, and annual wellness visits.
• Manage a broad spectrum of geriatric conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, CHF, CAD, COPD/asthma, CKD, thyroid disorders, osteoarthritis, chronic pain, dementia/cognitive decline, falls, mobility, and osteoporosis.
• Handle acute illnesses and infections effectively.
• Ensure accurate coding and meticulous charting for all patient interactions.
• Collaborate with one Nurse Practitioner and Medical Assistants to deliver coordinated patient care.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Family Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, or Internal Medicine is required.
• Experience with eClinicalWorks EMR.
• Outpatient setting.
• The clinical team includes one Nurse Practitioner and several Medical Assistants.
