Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) Surgical Services – Columbus, OH


Looking for an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join a leading facility in Columbus, Ohio.   • Licensure/Certifications: CBSPD or CRCST (preferred) – HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) certification accepted

  • Experience: Prior experience with sterilization, decontamination, instrument assembly, and scope processing

What You’ll Do

  • Decontaminate all surgical instruments, including drills, scopes, and DaVinci components

  • Assemble instruments across various service lines (Trauma, loaners, peel packaging)

  • Sterilize instruments via sterilization (sterrad and steam) processes

  • Perform High-Level Disinfection (HLD) and scope reprocessing

  • Manage sterile storage and inventory using Censitrac tracking system

  • Support OR staff as needed, including floating to other facilities within the organization

  • Ensure compliance with all safety and sterilization protocols



What You Need

Required:


  • Certification in sterile processing (CBSPD or CRCST)

  • Relevant experience with sterilization, decontamination, and instrument handling

  • Ability to work night shift (20:00 – 06:30)

  • Must be comfortable with HLD, scope processing, and inventory management



Preferred:


  • Experience with Censitrac or similar tracking systems

  • Previous work in a Level One trauma hospital environment
