Our client in Florida is seeking a dedicated General Surgeon for an 8-day assignment. This role involves 12-hour daytime shifts focused on typical general surgery cases within an inpatient setting. The successful Physician will provide comprehensive surgical care, working alongside an experienced team to manage a varied patient volume across specific dates in 2026.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive general surgical care during 12-hour daytime shifts
• Manage typical general surgery cases and procedures
• Collaborate with an experienced healthcare team in an inpatient setting
• Adhere to specified shift dates and times
• Note: The trauma surgeon will cover night shifts

Additional Information

• Board Certified in Surgery
• Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
• EMR: Cerner
• Setting: Inpatient
• No call required
• Patients per day: 3-5, with some variability
• LOA: 8 Days
• Staffing Mix: Trauma surgeon on call, experienced nursing staff, and on-site ER/ANE teams alongside other surgical specialties including Ortho, Trauma, Cardio, Vascular, Neuro, and Med Surg
