What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality care for patients with various conditions, including respiratory failure, CVA, DKA, sepsis, post-surgical recovery, and more
- Titrate cardiac and vasopressor drips, manage insulin infusions, and monitor complex medication administrations
- Manage venous sheaths, central lines, tracheostomies, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and wound care
- Collaborate with charge nurses, resource nurses, and RTs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Support patient safety through timely assessment and intervention
- Document care accurately in Meditech Expanse EMR system
- Float between units as necessary, including Cardiac Stepdown and MedSurg
What You Need
Required:
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- 1-2 years of relevant clinical experience
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
Preferred:
- NIHSS certification
- Experience with titrating medication infusions and managing complex medical devices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
