Description JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Neurosurgery • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Topeka, KS • Service Setting: Inpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Coverage Period: 12/31/2026 – 04/02/2027; ongoing need • Shift Schedule: Friday 7:00 AM – Friday 7:00 AM - 7-day rotation • Call Schedule: 24-hour call during the 7-day rotation PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: No pediatric cases - Adult population implied but not explicitly specified • Patient Volume/Census: TBD • Rounding: Follow-up and rounds included • Case Mix: Approximately 80% spine/back cases and 20% cranial cases; includes trauma cases at a Level II trauma center FACILITY INFORMATION • Trauma Level: Level II Trauma Center • EMR System: Epic • Specialty Backup Available: Hospital-based support • Support Staff Available: Hospital-based staff PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Confirmation of privileges documentation listed COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Neurosurgical inpatient evaluation and management • Neurosurgical rounds and follow-up • Operating room coverage as required • Management of spine/back, cranial, and trauma cases JOB REQUIREMENTS • KS License • BC • DEA • ATLS, PALS, BLS, and ACLS • Flu Vaccination DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide 24-hour neurosurgery call coverage during a 7-day rotation from Friday 7:00 AM to the following Friday at 7:00 AM. • Provide inpatient neurosurgical care, including rounds and follow-up. • Provide operating room coverage as needed. • Evaluate and manage spine/back, cranial, and trauma cases; pediatric cases are not included. • Coordinate care with hospital-based staff and other treating providers. * Some information such as the email and phone number are hidden unless you are registered and logged-in
