What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality perioperative care to surgical patients in a busy OR environment
- Assist with various surgical procedures including PV surgery, neuro, ortho, and robotics specialties
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Follow established protocols and maintain sterile and safe surgical environments
- Document patient care and surgical procedures accurately
- Respond to emergency situations and adapt to unit needs as assigned
- Support unit operations during emergency events or relief shifts
What You Need
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or the ability to obtain one
- Certification in BLS (and other relevant certifications if required)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in perioperative nursing, specifically PV surgery including hybrid OR experience
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s)
- Strong teamwork, communication, and clinical skills
Preferred:
- Experience in neuro, ortho, or robotics surgeries
- Epic EMR system experience
About the Assignment
This role is based in a premier healthcare facility in New Orleans. The OR team performs a variety of complex surgeries, including PV, neuro, ortho, and robotics procedures. Candidates should be comfortable working in dynamic environments and available for emergency team assignments if needed. Flexibility to work during holiday periods is required.
