Description Cardiothoracic Surgery PA Locums Job in Georgia | 24-Hour Weekend Call | Beginning December 21 - Ongoing | Assignment #117572 Open Dates -- December 21 – December 31 -- Ongoing assignment -- CT APP locum coverage needed one weekend per month Shift Details -- 24-hour non-restrictive call coverage Friday - Monday morning -- Rounding and call coverage with a 30-minute hospital recall; not required to remain on campus for the entire shift -- Based on coverage, ICU call for every other night cannot be guaranteed Requirements -- Active Georgia license required Required Procedures / Skills -- Vein harvesting Assignment Details -- Practice setting: Level 1 Trauma (CVICU, ED, Consults, OR) -- Daily patient volume: 8 -- Coverage includes rounding and call coverage on the CVICU -- Consults, ED, CVICU, and CT surgery-related needs route to the CVT PA first -- Coverage typically includes cardiovascular and thoracic cases -- Emergent thoracic cases are typically managed by residents -- Support staff: 1 surgeon, 2 APPs, floor and OR nursing structure -- Service line has 2 full-time APP vacancies, leaving 1 OR-capable APP to support 24/7/365 CT surgery coverage -- Practice retained 1 APP as PRN to assist with coverage 1-2 weekends per month -- Practice requires APP locums for one additional weekend per month to provide a sustainable coverage model -- Practice is actively recruiting to backfill 2 vacancies and is recruiting for a permanent APP -- EMR: Epic The Jackson and Coker Advantage: --Join a team that prioritizes your peace of mind so you can focus on patient care. --Elite Coverage: Top-rated malpractice insurance. --Seamless Logistics: Full-service in-house travel agency and credentialing coordinators. --Constant Support: 24/7 recruiter availability to handle any issues in real-time. --Experience the standard of excellence recognized by Forbes and Staffing Industry Analysts.
