What You’ll Do
- Provide patient-centered care within a medical/surgical unit, utilizing nursing assessments and interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise licensed and ancillary team members
- Effectively communicate patient needs and education to patients and families
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation and use clinical data to improve patient outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit activities
What You Need
Required:
- Active RN license in Louisiana
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related clinical setting
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and clinical software tools
Preferred:
- Certification in a clinical specialty area such as med/surg or perioperative nursing
- Strong organizational and communication skills
