Rehab liaisons advocate for patients in a healthcare facility beginning with the pre-admission process following through discharge planning. Rehab liaisons are registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), or licensed therapists (PT, OT, SLP). A Rehab Liaison helps fosters the relationship between patients and the facilities providing their care. They establish our patients' eligibility for care, communicating with patients and their families and interacting with a wide range of staff members, from admissions coordinators to case managers to physicians. The Rehab Liaison also helps creates an environment and culture that enables our hospitals to provide access to high-quality rehabilitation services by managing the referral to admissions progression and representing HealthSouth in community-related activities.
