Standard Qualifications: Bayshore Medical Center - Pasadena, TX An HCA Affiliated Hospital Registered Nurse (RN) - Hemodialysis (Dialysis). For nearly 50 years, we have offered patients solace and security through constant, compassionate communication during their medical emergencies, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures. As a 345-bed facility, we employ 1,500 staff and 250 physicians. Bayshore Medical Center is currently looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) - Hemodialysis (Dialysis). RESPONSIBILITIES : Adheres to and complies with HCA Code of Conduct as part of Ethics and Compliance program. Attends annual training sessions. Assumes responsibility for charging the unit as needed. Assumes responsibility for on-call duty as scheduled, with response time not greater than one hour. Assures daily charges are entered on Meditech. Collaborates with physicians, nurses and other clinical disciplines in making decisions regarding each patient's nursing care needs. Works with professional and non-professional employees of the hospital, and with physicians, patients and their families. Communicates with Nurse Director and House Supervisor regarding patient care, staff conflicts and unusual occurrences. Coordinates patient/staff schedule along with nephrologists and in consideration of staffing needs at Bayshore Medical Center. Ensures efficient, quality care of patients requiring dialysis. Models behaviors consistent with positive customer service. Participates in activities to plan, measure, assess, and improve the quality of patient care. Responsible for direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients on the Dialysis Unit. Responsible for meeting the Standards of Practice for the Dialysis Unit. Works closely with nephrologists and outpatient dialysis centers to provide continuity of care.
