Description Standard Qualifications: SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* *1 Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures. *2 Performs all sonographic procedures following defined protocols. 3 Transfers and positions the patient in a safe manner. *4 Observant of patients conditions. Notifies physician or supervisor of unusual occurrences. *5 Compiles appropriate records to expedite results. *6 Analyzes the quality of images and processes as required. *7 Understands and operates electronic information systems. *8 Maintains appropriate supplies and a clean, organized working environment. *9 Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of sonography. 10 Initiates patient teaching including family and/or significant other. 11 Involvement in Quality Control/Quality Improvement. * THOSE SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS WITH AN (*) ARE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Some information such as the email and phone number are hidden unless you are registered and logged-in
