Our services include: Breast Care Center Cardiovascular Services Center for Sleep Disorders Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Emergency Services Level II Neonatal Intermediate Care Unit Occupational Health and Wellness Senior Mental Health Women's Services Mainland Medical Center is currently looking for a Nursing Clinical Manager - Emergency Services. "The Nursing Clinical Manager is a Registered Nurse who assists as directed with twenty-four (24) hour - seven (7) days/week, responsibility for all operational aspects of their respective unit. The position encompasses human resources management, including assisting with recommending sufficient number of qualified and competent personnel to provide care; financial and clinical management, and the provision and development of professional leadership. He/she assists with establishing departmental goals and objectives that ensure high quality, cost-effective patient care, while working collaboratively to integrate the goals of their department with those at Mainland Medical Center. The philosophy of continuous quality improvement (CQI) is integrated by the Nursing Clinical Manager into all ongoing operations and activities of the department. The Nursing Supervisor is expected to provide relief staffing within their unit, and to apply knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span to identify patient and family requirements relative to age specific needs. He/ She will be responsible for knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety and related criteria for the neonate/infant child, adolescent and adult population as appropriate to their specific unit." RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Supports and assists with the development and actualization of the department goals (strategic plan). 2. Coordinates and supervises the department patient care operations. 3. Manages personnel effectively, and analyzes workload and skill requirements to meet patient care needs. 4. Responsible for promoting the development of self and others. 5. Practices cost containment and demonstrates a high level of productivity and dependability. 6. Practices and promotes positive peer and guest relations. 7. Participates in and promotes quality improvement activities at the department level. 8. Supports the mission, goals and objectives of the hospital. 9. Adheres to and complies with HCA's ethics and compliance policies in our Code of Conduct and our Standards of Behavior. Attends annual training sessions.
