Description Standard Qualifications: Memorial Hospital is a 418-bed acute care hospital in Jacksonville, FL, offering a full line of services. We feature an accredited Chest Pain Center, certified Stroke Center, dedicated Heart Center, a state-of-the-art Spine Clinic, and Memorial's maternity center, Special Beginnings. We are searching for a new Director of Critical Care Services, responsible for the management of the day-to-day operation of our state-of-the-art Intensive Care and Cardiovascular Intensive Care units and their assigned personnel. The position requires intimate knowledge of both department and hospital policies and procedures relevant to the delivery of Critical nursing care. Interpretive skills, frequent interactive and consultative associations along with management and supervisory skills are inherent in this position as is the ability to retrieve, communicate or otherwise present information in a written, auditory or visual fashion is essential. Written, computer, telephone skills and manual dexterity are required. Specific responsibilities include: -Nursing quality improvement, policies and procedures, productivity, staffing and scheduling, program development and special projects. -Providing input into the development of department specific operating budgets, accountable for management of operating budget(s), providing input into capital supply and equipment needs, investigating and reporting variances. -Creating a common vision to facilitate quality improvement in the delivery of patient care in support of the organization's mission, vision and values. -Planning, organizing, coaching and facilitating his/her department functions and staff to assure quality service on a twenty-four hour basis. -Meeting the Joint Commission standards and complying with the organization's policies and procedures -Promoting teamwork with physicians and multidisciplinary health care providers -And, promoting internal and external customer satisfaction and appropriate resource management. #LI-SAD * Some information such as the email and phone number are hidden unless you are registered and logged-in
