Description Standard Qualifications: Position Summary: This is a BMT/Surgical Oncology unit that will be providing care to Bone Marrow transplant, general Oncology, and Surgical Oncology patients. The surgeries that include but are not limited to the following: Whipple, Colon Resection, Ileostomies, Liver Resection, Small bowel Resection, and HIPEC. *1) Considers age related factors in the assessment, care, and treatment of the oncology patient. *2) Considers principles of death and dying when caring for terminally ill oncology patients. Provides emotional, spiritual, religious and cultural support to patients and their significant others. *3) Applies principles of oncology nursing. Provides emotional, spiritual, religious and cultural support to patients and their significant others. *4) Maintains current certification to deliver chemotherapeutic and biotherapy agents. *5) Applies principles of cardiac and medical-surgical nursing in providing patient care. *6) Maintains a knowledge of medications, procedures and equipment commonly used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients. *7) Demonstrate understanding of HCA's and "Patients First "safety initiative by strict compliance to all safety protocols and procedures. * Some information such as the email and phone number are hidden unless you are registered and logged-in
