Description Standard Qualifications: Eastside Medical Center is a 310-bed, full-service, acute care medical center with nearly 1,200 employees and 450 affiliated physicians. POSITION: Surgical Technician Specialty Coordinator SHIFT: Full-Time (Mixed including rotating weekends) ***MUST HAVE FLEXIBILITY IN SCHEDULING*** Position Responsibilities: - Assists the OR staff with maintenance of supplies, instruments and equipment. - Coordinates with manufacturer representatives and surgeons in order to meet corporate requirements. - Serves as a liaison between departments including, but not limited to physician office, company reps. - Accepts responsibility for planning, coordinating and education of new O.R. equipment and instruments. - Creates and maintains contact files for all product and equipment manufacturers and vendors. - Demonstrates knowledge of surgical procedures and has the ability to oversee the instrument and equipment set-up, prepare for case utilizing preferences cards, and anticipates needs of surgeon. - Utilizes preference cards and update as necessary - Assists with coordinating staff training / in-services with OR educator - Procures equipment and supplies for service cases - Acts as a resource person and provides direction to staff to ensure safe patient care - Assists team members in selecting and preparing routine supplies, instruments and equipment for surgical procedures - Demonstrates dependability and accountability - Demonstrates a willness to help others - Demonstrates leadership, effective organizing and planning skills - Encourages team work among staff and promote a positive work environment * Some information such as the email and phone number are hidden unless you are registered and logged-in
