Interviews are being set immediately, you are encouraged to apply today!   GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Contributes to the company's mission, vision, and values by ensuring that patients are admitted efficiently, courteously, and in a timely manner. This includes providing accurate demographic and insurance information to ensure accurate coding, billing and claims submission.     DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:   · Responsible for accurately performing all functions of patient admissions, including reviewing all information with patient, completing appropriate forms, and copying appropriate insurance cards and photo identification.  · Collects and documents all collections actions for patient co-payment and deductibles at the time of service as applicable and issues appropriate payment receipts.  · Performs routine clerical and administrative functions, including answering incoming phone calls.  · Prepares patient charts and pulls previous medical records if applicable. Collects and delivers charts when requested.  · Performs insurance verification when necessary.  · Manages the reception area and greets patients and family members in a professional manner.  • Performs selected administrative duties and assists nursing staff. • Assists with scheduling of tests and treatments. • Assist with venipuncture as directed by RN. • Takes patient histories and vital signs. • Connect patient to ECG Monitor, as directed. • Assists patients with urinals, bedpans, and emesis basins • Assist in the transfer, positioning and transport of patients. • Assists with the collection of specimens. • Assists with turning over operating rooms between cases o Cleans rooms between cases (e.g., dusts shelves and countertops, removes linens and places in bag for daily pickup, removes garbage from operating room and recovery room) • Maintains sufficient supply levels, cleanliness and orderliness of all equipment and supplies: o Familiar with location of equipment and supplies o Assist with restocking and ordering of supplies. o Distributes clean linen and scrubs to all appropriate areas o Stocks scrub brushes, antimicrobial hand washing solution, and surgical supplies o Keeps caps, masks, and shoe covers stocked o Keeps the warmer stocked with blankets (as applicable) o Keeps scrub sinks clean and free of debris o Adequate supply of paper towels, toilet paper, and soap for all bathrooms and sink areas. • Performs general delivery service for the facility that (may include transporting specimens) and runs errands as needed   EDUCATION: N/A    EXPERIENCE: • One year patient care assistant, nursing assistant or environmental services experience in a healthcare setting preferred.  CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: • Valid BCLS Certification upon employment***online certification not acceptable. • Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
